Hello everyone! My academic career has been a rollercoaster of challenges and achievements, each contributing to my growth as a designer. I’ve focused on projects that prioritise functionality and emotional connection, striving to create designs that resonate with users on a deeper level. Throughout my studies, I’ve had the opportunity to explore innovative technologies, continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible to develop. This exploration has fueled my passion for creating impactful solutions that address real-world needs. Working on collaborative projects has also further enhanced my knowledge, allowing me to learn from different perspectives and refine my approach to problem-solving.

I take inspiration from the stories of people I encounter, driving my desire to create products that empower and uplift. As I continue my design journey, I aim to continue developing solutions that make a difference, combining creativity and functionality. I can’t wait to tackle the exciting challenges ahead and make a positive impact in the world with my designs!

Project Description

Introducing DefendHER, our innovative personal safety device that is cleverly designed as a stylish jewellery. A discreet accessory that combines essential safety features, and elegance for women. There have been numerous incidents of harassment, assault, and violence against women in various settings, both large and small. As a result, many women constantly must be vigilant for potential dangers that could threaten their safety.

This ongoing cautiousness can affect their mental, emotional, and even physical health, resulting in the need for a sustainable and effective safety solution more crucial in many communities. With a strong commitment to impactful design, I drew inspiration from the stories of women and personal experiences to develop a personal safety device with my classmate, Sian Stone. Our goal was to create a solution that empowers women with confidence wherever they go.
