Hi, I’m Feihong Dong, an international student from China with a passion for both art and music. In my free time, I love drawing and exploring different kinds of music that inspire my creativity. I believe the combination of these two interests brings fresh ideas to my design work.
I’ve gained valuable experience through my design studies, particularly in user interface design. During an internship at a company in China, I worked on website interface designs, focusing on creating intuitive and visually appealing experiences for users. I’m excited to continue growing as a designer and applying my skills to future projects.
I designed the Hīkoi Moana game app to raise awareness about ocean conservation among New Zealand primary school students. The app focuses on educating children about the endangered status of different dolphin species and the importance of protecting marine life. I chose this topic because learning about the threats dolphins face, such as pollution and fishing traps, inspired me to create something that could both educate and engage young audiences. Through interactive features, I hope to instill a sense of responsibility and encourage the next generation to take action in protecting our oceans.
